Season Auditions are open to Actors' Equity members and Non-Equity Performers. These auditions are the only local open-call auditions during the season so they are recommended to every performer who wants to be considered for any show during the Season.

Season programming information and character breakdowns can be found: HERE

The Mainstage Series operates under an LOA (Letter of Agreement) contract in reference to LORT (League of Resident Theatres) between Actors' Equity Association and Actors' Playhouse Productions, Inc. Both Equity and Non-union actors will be considered for Mainstage shows, in accordance with our LOA Equity ratio. The Minimum Equity Actor Weekly Salary for 2017-2018 will be $730.

The Theatre for Young Audiences Series offers opportunities for Non-Equity Performers. On occasion an Equity performer could be employed for The Children's Theatre, in which case he/she would be signed to an Equity Guest Contract.

NOTE: Performers under 18 years of age should refer to specific auditions for that age group on our website, which may not yet be available.

MAINSTAGE NYC AUDITIONS
Actors' Playhouse typically travels to NYC every summer to audition performers. In most cases we are looking for leads or specialty performers (ie: dancers, tumblers,  etc.). These auditions and submission guidelines are posted in Backstage Magazine and on www.breakdownexpress.com, two to three weeks prior to the audition dates. Please note: because of the number of submissions for these auditions we are not able to see everyone that would like to be seen.

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION OF MATERIAL
We encourage performers to try to attend auditions in person, however we do accept material submitted via email. Unfortunately because of the large number of submissions we receive, we cannot always reply or schedule individual callbacks. You may submit your headshot, résumé and a video audition to auditions@actorsplayhouse.org. If you have an interest in any specific show or role, please make sure to note that in your email or on your video.

FPTA (Florida Professional Theatre Association)
We strongly encourage all Florida performers to attend the annual Florida Professional Theatre Association auditions. They are a great opportunity to be seen by a number of major Theatre companies in the state, including Actors’ Playhouse. More information can be found on their website:
www.fpta.net
