Actors’ Playhouse is an award-winning nonprofit regional theatre company, proudly celebrating more than 38 seasons of artistic excellence. Based in the historic Miracle Theatre on Miracle Mile in downtown Coral Gables, we are recognized as a Florida Presenting Cultural Organization and one of Miami-Dade County’s 12 major cultural institutions.
Each year, our work includes five Mainstage productions, four professional Children’s Theatre productions, a year-round Theatre Conservatory and Summer Camp, extensive educational outreach, and the Young Talent Big Dreams youth talent contest in partnership with The Children’s Trust.
The Miracle Theatre complex also features three unique performance spaces, which host not only our own programming but also corporate meetings, public forums, and cultural events throughout the year.
PART-TIME BOX OFFICE REPRESENTATIVE
Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre is seeking a part-time Box Office Representative who is highly motivated, personable and reliable. This is an excellent opportunity for students, theater lovers, or anyone seeking a flexible position with a vibrant arts organization.
About the Role
Box Office Representatives are the first point of contact for many of our patrons, providing exceptional customer service for ticketing, subscriptions, parking, dining and other visitor services. Candidates must be comfortable working a flexible schedule, including daytime, evenings, weekends and some holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with ticketing and subscription services in person, by phone and online
- Listen attentively to customer needs and respond quickly, accurately, and politely
- Handle customer concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Serve as an ambassador for Actors’ Playhouse, creating a welcoming experience for all patrons
- Support additional services such as concessions and subscription management
- Collaborate with other departments (fundraising, marketing, etc.) to ensure excellent service
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior customer service experience required
- Experience in the performing arts sector preferred
- Strong personal interest in theatre and the arts
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (not required)
- Concessions or bartending experience is a plus
