Give your students a one-of-a-kind field trip they’ll never forget. Our student matinees bring stories to life on stage while supporting classroom learning in a meaningful way. Each matinee includes:
A study guide with background and activities to explore before the show.
A live performance that sparks imagination and inspires creativity.
A talkback with the cast to encourage reflection, questions, and deeper understanding.
Student matinees at Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre are an engaging way to connect education with the arts — making lessons memorable long after the curtain falls.
Musical Theatre for Young Audiences Field Trips
Perfect for elementary and middle school students, our Young Audiences series brings classic tales and new adventures to life with professional actors, colorful sets, and plenty of imagination. Weekday matinees are available Monday–Friday by request. Admission is $14 per student, with one free chaperone for every 10 paid students ($22 per additional chaperone).
Mainstage Field Trips
Introduce your students to Broadway in Miami! Our Mainstage productions showcase the very best in musical theatre and dramatic plays, offering an inspiring cultural experience for middle and high school students. Weekday matinees are available Monday–Friday by request. Admission is $15 per student, with one free chaperone for every 10 paid students ($30 per additional chaperone).
FIELD TRIP CANCELLATION POLICY
If a school or district cancels classes, or if the theatre must cancel for any reason, there is no penalty. If a scheduling conflict arises due to a school event and you need to change your visit date, we will gladly accommodate the change at no cost, provided alternate seating is available.
For cancellations unrelated to the school district or the theatre, the following fees apply:
Cancellations made at least 4 weeks in advance incur no penalty.
Cancellations made 2–4 weeks in advance will be charged 50% of the total agreement.
Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the scheduled visit will be charged 100% of the total agreement.
While these are our standard guidelines, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise and will always do our best to work with schools and educators whenever possible.
