Saturday Classes

Let’s Make Believe (Ages 5-7)
Drop Off – 8:45-9 a.m.
Class – 9-10 a.m.
Pick Up – 10-10:15 a.m.
Fee: $300
This course uses imagination, concentration, and focus through theatre games to introduce stage skills as well as enhance life skills such as listening, teamwork, and empathy. Suitable for new and/or returning students as the course is differentiated for learning levels and material is tailored to individual performers.

Imagine That! (Ages 7-9)
Drop Off – 9-9:15 a.m.
Class – 9:15-10:15 a.m.
Pick Up – 10:15-10:30 a.m.
Fee: $300
This course continues to explore vocal and physical expression along with extending the use of imagination. Characterization and improvisation techniques augment the life skills of concentration, collaboration, and empathy. Suitable for new and/or returning students as the course is differentiated for learning levels and material is tailored to individual performers.

Musical Theatre Technique (Ages 7-11)
Drop Off – 9:15-9:30 a.m.
Class – 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Pick Up – 10:30-10:45 a.m.
Fee: $300
This course encourages collaboration and listening skills while introducing vocal, dance, and acting techniques through the staging and presentation of group numbers from Broadway musicals. Suitable for new and/or returning students as the course is differentiated for learning levels and material is tailored to individual performers.

Lights, Camera, Action (Ages 9-13)
Drop Off – 10:45-11 a.m.
Class – 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Pick Up – 12:30-12:45 p.m.
Fee: $375
This course combines monologue and authenticity exercises to create individual film reels. Through the creative process, students gain confidence and comfort with the camera as a means of self-expression. The course simulates actual audition circumstances and gives performers an insight into the professional world of commercial film acting. Suitable for new and/or returning students as the course is differentiated for learning levels and material is tailored to individual performers.

Page to Stage (Ages 10-15)
Drop Off – 11-11:15 a.m.
Class – 11:15 am-12:45 p.m.
Pick Up – 12:45-1:00 p.m.
Fee: $375
This course uses scenes from plays to establish characters and the relationships between them. By using the text as a springboard for actor choices we connect to literature and authentically motivate the action of the play. Scene study work helps students connect to and personalize the written word, engaging life skills of empathy, reading comprehension, and reading fluency. Suitable for new and/or returning students as the course is differentiated for learning levels and material is tailored to individual performers.

Musical Theatre Showcase (Ages 12-18)
Drop Off – 11:15-11:30 a.m.
Class – 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Pick Up – 1-1:15 p.m.
Fee: $375
This course utilizes both solo and ensemble scene and song work from Broadway Musicals to connect voice, movement, and characterization to the storytelling aspect of Musical Theatre. Suitable for new and/or returning students as the course is differentiated for learning levels and material is tailored to individual performers.

Monday Evening Classes for Adults
April 7 – May 12, 2025

Acting Foundations (Ages 18 & Older)
Check in – 6:45-7:00 p.m.
Class – 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Fee: $375
This course uses improvisation, theatre games, voice, speech, and movement exercises with monologues to explore the fundamentals of acting technique. Most suitable for new or less experienced students, or those who may have uneven attendance capability.

Actors’ Lab (Ages 18 & Older)
Check in – 7:15-7:30 p.m.
Class – 7:30-9 p.m.
Fee: $375
This course is tailored for the adult acting enthusiast seeking to enhance characterization, collaboration, voice, speech, and movement skills through scenes from challenging theatrical literature. A devised showcase performance may be included in the end. Suitable for returning students or those with some prior experience willing to commit to consistent attendance.

Full payment is required upon registration and is non-refundable. In the event that Actors’ Playhouse cancels the class or camp, our staff will contact you directly. If auditions lead to placement in a different course, we will adjust any price differences accordingly.
