Suggested Task Order
for Field Trip Planning
- Meet with your team to find the day that works with your school calendar.
- Complete the short FIELD TRIP REQUEST FORM for Actors’ Playhouse with your top three date choices and approximate number of students.
- Once you receive a contract with a temporary hold on your seats, reserve buses.
- Get preliminary approval from an administrator and have them send a direct E-mail stating they are in support of the trip to our representative.
- Sign the contract and send it back to our representative.
- If you are M-DCPS complete the partially filled out FIELD TRIP PERMISSION PACKET so you can obtain official district approval.
- Set up a collection plan with your treasurer or secretary (we suggest a deadline of at least two full school weeks prior to your trip) and send home permission slips.
- Send your final count within a week of the performance to our representative.
- You will receive an invoice once we receive your final count. Give that to your school treasurer and request a school check. If time permits mail or deliver your payment, or feel free to bring it with you to the performance.
- Come to the Miracle Theatre and have an extraordinary day of learning, entertainment, and enlightenment with your students. This is the warm fuzzy part:)
