VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Actors’ Playhouse is an award-winning nonprofit regional theatre company, proudly celebrating more than 38 seasons of artistic excellence. Based in the historic Miracle Theatre on Miracle Mile in downtown Coral Gables, we are recognized as a Florida Presenting Cultural Organization and one of Miami-Dade County’s 12 major cultural institutions.
Each year, our work includes five Mainstage productions, four professional Children’s Theatre productions, a year-round Theatre Conservatory and Summer Camp, extensive educational outreach, and the Young Talent Big Dreams youth talent contest in partnership with The Children’s Trust.
The Miracle Theatre complex also features three unique performance spaces, which host not only our own programming but also corporate meetings, public forums and cultural events throughout the year.
VOLUNTEER USHERS
Looking for a fun way to spend an evening or afternoon with friends? Join us as a volunteer usher and enjoy Actors’ Playhouse Mainstage and Children’s Theatre productions—free!
Our volunteer ushers are an integral part of the Actors’ Playhouse team who contribute to the professional reputation of our organization by ensuring that each patron has a comfortable, safe and memorable experience at the Miracle Theatre. We welcome friendly, outgoing volunteers ages 15+ to usher for an entire series, or on a show-to-show basis. Ushers are required to arrive an hour prior to curtain time and help out with various duties including scanning tickets, assisting patrons in finding their seats and stuffing Showbills. A black and white dress code is required for all volunteer ushers. Please note that registration occurs on a first-come, first-served basis and performances fill up quickly!
